Marketing strategies continue to evolve; from self-promotional portfolios (*ahem) to national and global change through Internet-solidarity to increases in engagement and profitability spikes when people share their passions, often with total strangers. What a time to be alive!
While social media comes against some limitations (i.e., loss of interpersonal businesses, popularity based on clicks instead of personality and values), it also bears great potential in an age where instantaneous gratification has become necessary when consuming news, sharing personal stories with strangers, shopping and beyond.
Below you’ll find a calendar and excerpt from my work in social media marketing with Firehouse Communications and their client, The Basket Lady. These posts form a template for the Creative Director at Firehouse. My intention when composing each post is to engage the online community with timely promotions, relatable diction, and some form of coordinated media.
If handled responsibly and purposefully, I believe social media can and will change the way we do business, build empires, and listen to one another.
